We are big fans of Jude Ellison S. Doyle, whose work consistently hits us right where we want our horror to live. We absolutely loved The Neighbors and more recently Be Not Afraid only reinforced how strong and thoughtful his horror writing is. Seeing his name attached to a slasher series was already exciting before we even knew what it was about.

Dead Teenagers is set in the late 90s and follows a group of friends who have been trapped since 1997 in the same prom night, forced to relive it over and over again. No matter what they do, the night always ends with their deaths, each time in new and increasingly brutal ways. They dress up, party, fall in love, try to change their fate, and fail every single time. Until something finally starts to shift.

That setup instantly gave us strong Fear Street vibes, which we absolutely love. Prom themed horror is always a win for us, and the idea of being stuck in a perfect teenage moment that slowly turns into a nightmare feels both fun and deeply unsettling. There is something cruel and fascinating about being unable to grow up, unable to move on, and being punished for it again and again.

Dead Teenagers is set to release on March 18, 2026, and it already feels like one of those slashers that will mix nostalgia, blood, and emotional horror in all the right ways. This is one prom night we are more than ready to attend!
