Marvel is bringing Sai back in a big way with Sai: Dimensional Rivals, a new limited series written and illustrated by Peach Momoko alongside a lineup of celebrated artists, arriving this January. Sai, Peach Momoko’s reimagined version of Psylocke first introduced in Demon Days, returns for a new journey across multiple realities with a story that blends style, mythology, and striking visual storytelling.

In this new series Sai travels across different dimensions and encounters new interpretations of her world, her purpose, and her abilities. Momoko is teaming up with major artists she has encountered over her career, allowing each issue to explore Sai through the unique vision of a different creator. It sounds like a beautiful collaborative project that celebrates art, individuality, and storytelling in a way that only comics can.

This announcement is especially exciting for us because our love for Momoko’s work is personal. When we lived in Japan we had the chance to meet Peach Momoko several times, and she was always kind, humble, and incredibly inspiring in person. Demon Days was actually among our very first comic buys back when we started getting into the hobby at our then local comic shop in Akihabara, Tokyo. Her blend of Marvel lore and Japanese folklore completely hooked us and Sai stood out as one of the most compelling reinterpretations of an iconic character.

Momoko’s artwork has become instantly recognizable in the industry. From her watercolor and ink textures to her dreamlike visual approach, she has consistently brought fresh ideas and a unique visual voice to Marvel. We obviously love collecting alllll the covers she’s making. And seeing her expand the Momoko-verse with Sai once again feels like the perfect next step and we cannot wait to see how the character continues to evolve under multiple creative perspectives.

January cannot come fast enough and we are more than ready to dive back into this world that helped launch our passion for comics.
