Jeremy Robinson has been delivering intense horror lately with Nectar, so seeing him step into a full supernatural exorcism story feels like a great move. Tiago Palma, who has worked on recent series like X-Men United, joins him on art duties. With both of them working on series that got a lot of attention recently, this already feels like a collaboration worth paying attention to.
Excommunicated follows a faithful nun and a demon who are both cast out after a failed exorcism. Instead of going their separate ways, they are forced to work together to uncover a larger, more dangerous plot. A nun and a demon teaming up is such a twisted, fun hook that we were sold immediately. We love horror comics, we love exorcism stories, and this setup sounds like it will push both into strange and possibly brutal territory.
The series promises supernatural horror mixed with action and a bit of sharp energy, and knowing Robinson’s approach, we expect it to be intense but also character driven. The idea of digging into theology, demons, and church politics while still delivering creepy visuals sounds like exactly our kind of book.
The first issue of Excommunicated hits comic shops on May 6, 2026, and we are already counting down. This one feels tailor made for horror fans like us.
