It’s a good time to be an X-Men fan! Another favorite of ours, Rogue, is getting her own series next year, and we’re already excited for it!

Rogue #1
Publisher: Marvel Comics
Writer: Erica Schultz
Artist: Luigi Zagaria
Cover Artist: David Nakayama
Release date: January 21, 2026
At the same time Marvel revealed Magik and Colossus, we also got another announcement that made us cheer: Rogue is getting her own solo series, 8 months after her Savage Land series (that we truly enjoyed) ended! She’s one of our all-time favorite X-Men characters, so any new story centered on her instantly grabs our attention. Sure, we’d love to see her headline an ongoing series one day, but we’ll happily take this new five-issue run for now.
The series will be written by Erica Schultz, which already makes this one a must-read for us. She’s been on fire lately; we absolutely LOVED her work on Hallows’ Eve, and she’s done an incredible job writing strong, layered characters like Elektra or Laura Kinney. Having her take on Rogue feels like the perfect fit. On art is Luigi Zagaria, whose work we really enjoyed in Midnight Suns. And of course, the series comes with covers by David Nakayama, which is always something to look forward to!
The story sounds personal and intense: Rogue’s trying to live a peaceful life with Remy, but something from her past is about to catch up to her. Mystique and Destiny might be involved, which already adds a whole other layer of mystery and family drama we can’t wait to see unfold.
Early 2026 is shaping up to be a great start for X-fans who love character-driven stories with a mix of action and heart. Rogue #1 hits shelves in January 2026, and we’re already pulling this one!
