A cool announcement was made recently, especially for us, Magik lovers! Let’s talk about her upcoming series, Magik and Colossus, where she will team up with her brother.

Magik and Colossus #1

Cover Artist: David Nakayama
Release date: February 4, 2026
Not a surprise by now, you know that we love Magik. The previous 10-issue run was amazing (we posted a review here and you should read it), and hearing that the same creative team is back for Magik and Colossus made our day. Written by Ashley Allen with art by German Peralta, this new limited 5-issue series brings the mutant siblings together for what sounds like an emotional, mystical, and action-packed return.
This time, Magik and Colossus head back to their homeland, where ancient monsters from Russian folklore are said to be preying on the innocent. The idea of combining myth and mutant powers feels like the perfect recipe for another great story… and one that should give us a deeper look into their complicated family bond.
We’re especially excited to see how Ashley Allen continues to write Magik after the success of the previous series. She really nailed Illyana’s tone and inner conflict before, so seeing her dynamic with Colossus explored further should be fascinating. Also, David Nakayama will be in charge of the main covers, which is super exciting as we love his style and he always delivers!
Sure, we’re a little sad this is only five issues, but we’ll take all the Magik content we can get. Between the mysticism, mutant history, and sibling drama, Magik and Colossus is one we’ll be grabbing the second it hits shelves next February.
