Mad Cave Studios just announced a brand new series, and this one instantly caught our attention. Let’s talk about Ferocious.

Ferocious #1
Publisher: Mad Cave Studios
Writer: Luke Piotrowski
Artist: Emanuele Ercolani
Colorist: Paolo Raiteri
Letterer: Carlos M. Mangual
Release date: November 19, 2025
Ferocious is a dark fantasy horror tale that sounds like nothing else on the shelves right now, and it’s arriving this November. The story follows a tavern boy whose life is shattered when a draconic warrior destroys his village in one devastating attack. Consumed by vengeance, he makes a vow to strike back… but the only person who can teach him how to kill is the very same warrior who ruined everything.
Part of what makes this debut so exciting is the creative team. Writer Luke Piotrowski is making his first step into comics, but he’s no stranger to horror. He co-wrote Hellraiser and The Night House, and his screenwriting background already proves he can bring layered, unsettling stories to life. Seeing him channel that experience into comics for the first time makes us very curious. On art is Emanuele Ercolani, whose work we don’t know well yet, but that’s exactly why we’re eager to see how his style shapes this blood-soaked fantasy world.
And then there’s the main cover. The main cover for the first issue immediately stood out to us. It sets the tone with something creepy and bloody, everything we like. It makes us wonder what we’re walking into, and that’s always a good sign for a horror comic.
Ferocious releases November 19, 2025, and we’re very excited about it. Dark fantasy mixed with horror, a debut from a proven horror screenwriter, and art we’re curious to discover; it has all the ingredients to surprise us.
