Marvel recently revealed Planet She-Hulk, a new ongoing series launching this November, and as two huge She-Hulk fans here at Comics Warlocks, we are so ready.

This one spins out of Imperial and the one-shot Imperial War: Planet She-Hulk (out on August 27) and finds Jennifer Walters stuck on Sakaar, filling in for Bruce… and maybe regretting it. What was supposed to be a short favor has turned into a full-blown political nightmare, and now Jen’s in charge of keeping peace on a planet best known for its arena battles and chaos. She’s not the kind of Hulk who smashes first and asks questions later, so we’re dying to see how her sharp mind and big heart handle a place like this.

I’ve read all of She-Hulk’s runs, from Savage She-Hulk to the most recent Sensational arcs by Rainbow Rowell, so the idea of seeing her in a totally new setup is super exciting. And Stephanie Phillips is a perfect match here. Whether it’s Grim, Phoenix, or Rogue & Gambit, she brings emotional depth and serious action to everything she touches. Add to that art by Aaron Kuder (I’m already in love with that main cover), plus covers by InHyuk Lee and Jenny Frison (look at this beauty!), and this book is already stacked with talent.

We’re especially hyped that this isn’t just a one-shot or short arc, but a full ongoing series. There’s room to go big with Jen’s character, explore the world of Sakaar, and really carve out something special. Hopefully this is one for the books that will last more than 10 issues!

Bring it on. We’ll be grabbing Planet She-Hulk #1 the moment it hits comic shops on November 5, and we definitely will get more than just one copy…
