Emma Frost is finally back in the spotlight with Emma Frost: The White Queen, a new five-issue limited series taking us deep into her dark and ruthless days as the White Queen of the Hellfire Club. Let’s talk about it and see why we’re so excited about this one!

Emma Frost: The White Queen #1
Publisher: Marvel Comics
Writer: Amy Chu
Artist: Andrea Di Vito
Main cover: David Nakayama
Release date: June 18, 2025
It’s about time Emma Frost gets another solo series! As huge fans of her character, we’re thrilled to see Marvel revisiting her time as the cold and calculated White Queen of the Hellfire Club. Written by Amy Chu (Red Sonja, KISS) with art by Andrea Di Vito (Deadpool, Invincible Iron Man), Emma Frost: The White Queen is a five-issue limited series diving into her supervillain era; and you just know it’s gonna be filled with drama, scandal, and power plays.
The series is set during Emma’s ruthless climb within the Hellfire Club’s Inner Circle, where she’ll do whatever it takes to maintain her throne. And when a mole starts leaking secrets to the X-Men, Emma is ready to go to extreme lengths to find the traitor and protect her kingdom. We’re excited to see how Amy Chu captures Emma’s complex personality, giving us a deep dive into the days when she was at her most dangerous.
Also, can we talk about David Nakayama, in charge of the main covers of the whole series? The main cover for the first issue has already been revealed, and it’s stunning. Nakayama’s work always blows us away, and we’re so hyped to see the rest of the series showcase his talent. We’re gonna get the main covers, but we’re also sure that gorgeous variants will be available, and that’s why we will very likely own several copies of each issue.
It’s been way too long since Emma’s last solo series in 2003-2004, and it’s about time Marvel gave her the spotlight again, even if it’s just for five issues. We’ll be counting down the days until Emma Frost: The White Queen hits shelves in June!
