Spider-Girl Gets Her Own Ongoing Series in June!

After her sold-out debut in Spider-Boy, the all-new Spider-Girl is set to headline her own ongoing series starting this June! And we’re obviously gonna get all the issues!

Spider-Girl #1
Publisher: Marvel Comics
Writer: Torunn Grønbekk
Artist: André Risso
Main Cover: David Nakayama
Release date: June 11, 2025

We’ve been following Spider-Boy since the beginning (we’re BIG fans), so it was a thrill to see Spider-Girl first appear in Spider-Boy #12; and to be honest, we’re quite surprised that she already landed her own series! Unlike most new characters who get limited series, Spider-Girl is launching as an ongoing, which makes this feel like a major moment.

Written by Torunn Grønbekk (Venom, Thor) and illustrated by André Risso, a new artist, this series will dive deep into her origins, powers, and her fight to forge her own path as a hero. Originally trained by Bullseye to be the villainous Funhouse, this young hero from Hawaii has unique mutant power-absorbing abilities that recently went haywire in her battle against Spider-Boy. Now, she’s left behind her past and is trying to be a hero in New York… which we’re honestly quite excited about! We didn’t get to see the coolest part of the character yet, so we’re very, very curious to get to know her more!

Adding to the hype, the main covers will be illustrated by David Nakayama, one of our favorite cover artists. He always delivers, so we can’t wait to see what he does with Spider-Girl (the cover of the first issue is already a success). We already know we might get several copies of the first issue, as a few variants by amazing artists were also announced: Peach Momoko, Marguerite Sauvage or Kaare Andrews.

June 11 – save the date to discover Spider-Girl in her solo series! If this is even half as fun as Spider-Boy, we’re in for a wild ride!

  1. […] Spider-Girl – Marvel ComicsThe story: Bullseye betrayed her. Now she’s on her own, trying to be a hero, but a classic Spider-villain has other plans. Time to see what Spider-Girl is really made of.Why we’re intrigued: With Spider-Boy wrapping, it’s her time to shine. The David Nakayama covers are killer and we’ve got high hopes for her journey.
