The series is written by Sarah Gailey and illustrated by Haining. Sarah Gailey is already a huge draw for us. We absolutely loved Eat the Rich, Know Your Station, and White Widow, so seeing her name attached to a whodunit makes us very confident going in. We are not familiar with Haining’s work yet, but the main cover she illustrated looks fantastic, and the preview pages that were revealed look very strong. You can take a look at them here!

Neighborhood Watch centers on a violent incident that forces two very different communities into conflict. When a respected community leader is found with a gunshot wound in a tunnel connecting two neighboring areas, suspicion immediately spreads. Members from both sides are forced to work together to figure out what really happened, while also confronting secrets that both communities would rather keep buried…

A whodunit in comics can be incredibly fun when done well, and this setup feels perfect for tension, twists, and layered character drama. The idea of two communities with very different values being forced to cooperate while mistrusting each other sounds like it could lead to some really strong storytelling, and we can’t wait to see how it will be done here!

Neighborhood Watch is out on April 8, 2026, and between Sarah Gailey’s track record, the intriguing premise, and the strong early visuals, this is already a series we are very curious to follow.
