December is usually a quiet month for new releases, but we still found eight titles worth getting excited about. A lot of Marvel, we know, but that is simply what is delivering the most hype for us right now. Here are the new series grabbing our attention as we close out the year.

Briar: Night’s Terror – BOOM! Studios
The story: Briar Rose and her allies finally reach the last stretch of their long quest. With the Fallswitch Traps ahead and Grendrid on the brink of returning to full power, everything comes down to one final confrontation.
Why we’re intrigued: We have been into Briar since the first issue and we are excited to see how it all concludes.

Damnation – Worthy Chaos Comics
The story: In the late 1800s, Seraphina and Draven hunt and document cryptids, gathering their essence without killing them, all while avoiding angels, demons, Wendigos, and mutated vampires.
Why we’re intrigued: We first noticed it through Kickstarter, and the covers, the story, and the interactive side of this series immediately stood out.

Doctor Strange – Marvel Comics
The story: Stranded in Asgard after Loki’s actions cut Earth off from the other realms, Stephen Strange heads to Alfheim to stop angels and elves from going to war over a mysterious coffin. With few allies left, he must navigate unfamiliar territory and new dangers while trying to prevent disaster.
Why we’re intrigued: Doctor Strange has been through so much lately, and this new direction sounds full of new possibilities. We are definitely on board for this journey.

Hulk: Smash Everything – Marvel Comics
The story: Hulk takes on increasingly massive challenges, from monsters and forces of nature to threats far beyond anything he has faced before. It is big, loud, and pure Marvel chaos in the best way.
Why we’re intrigued: Sometimes it just feels good to sit back and watch Hulk wreck everything instead of doing it ourselves in real life.

The New Space Age – Mad Cave Studios
The story: Disgraced astronaut Mark Mitchell never stopped searching for his younger brother, who was abducted by aliens when they were children. When he discovers that crop circles are actually instructions for interstellar travel, he sets out to decode the messages and continue the mission on his own terms.
Why we’re intrigued: Sci-fi comics aren’t as common as they should be, and when one promises this kind of heart and mystery, it instantly gets our attention. Read more about it here!

Sorcerer Supreme – Marvel Comics
The story: After reclaiming powerful relics, Wanda Maximoff takes the title of Sorcerer Supreme of Earth, choosing a path that challenges magical tradition and angers the Vishanti. Her new chapter could reshape magic in the Marvel Universe for better or worse.
Why we’re intrigued: Wanda stepping into this role is huge, and we hope this next chapter does her justice. Also, the covers look absolutely incredible.

Ultimate Endgame – Marvel Comics
The story: The Maker has spent centuries preparing for his return, and now the barrier around the City has fallen. With a massive global conflict breaking out, heroes across the Ultimate Universe must unite to stop him before everything is lost.
Why we’re intrigued: The Ultimate Universe has been delivering top notch storytelling and we are eager to see how this major book wraps up.

Wiccan: Witches’ Road – Marvel Comicss
The story: Returning to Earth goes horribly wrong for Wiccan and Hulkling when Hulkling is gravely injured, leaving Wiccan to travel the Witches’ Road and face dark forces that could change him forever.
Why we’re intrigued: We have not been this excited for a new series in a long time. We love Wiccan and everything about this sounds thrilling. Read more about it here!

December may bring fewer releases than usual, but the titles arriving are packed with energy, emotion, and big storytelling. There is plenty to close out 2025 on a high note!
