Dark Horse Comics has just announced Devil on My Shoulder, a new horror series launching in November. And honestly, we already know this one’s going straight on our pull list.

The story follows Tee, a woman who was tortured for forty (!) days by five men and left for dead. Now she’s tracking them down one by one and giving them what they deserve. Her path to revenge is brutal and strange, leading her through encounters with washed-up hitmen, disturbing collectors, and even devils…

We’re especially excited because we already know what this team can deliver. Writer Kyle Starks and artist Piotr Kowalski previously worked together on Where Monsters Lie, which we absolutely loved, as you might have read previously on our blog. Starks also blew us away with Those Not Afraid, and Kowalski’s art in Let This One Be a Devil is still stuck in our heads. Now they’re back together for Devil on My Shoulder, and it looks like their most brutal work yet.

The premise is tense, revenge-fueled, and dripping with dread. We’re into the promise of something violent but emotional, layered with horror that’s both real and surreal. It’s everything we hope for when we open a new horror comic book. And we simply can’t wait to follow this four-issue series.
