June’s new comic releases are wild… in the best way. There’s horror, vampires, cosmic warfare, queer witches, and a surprising amount of Marvel books made it to our top picks this month. Here are the debut issues we’re most excited to read in June 2025!

Be Not Afraid – BOOM! Studios
The story: When Cora Reims gave birth to an angelic child after a mysterious vision, her small town feared the worst. Now, 17 years later, her son rots everything he touches, and Heaven wants her to end what she started.
Why we’re intrigued: Biblical horror, creepy prophecies, and a rural setting soaked in dread: we can’t wait. Read more about it here!
Blood Type – Oni Press
The story: Exiled to a tropical resort crawling with rich tourists and local legends, vampire Ada just wants to hunt in peace. But when a deadlier predator starts playing games, it’s time for a fight for survival.
Why we’re intrigued: Vampires, island horror, and it spins out of Epitaphs from the Abyss, which we’ve been loving. Looks deliciously wicked.
Bytchcraft – Mad Cave Studios
The story: In a perpetually eclipsed New York, a queer coven of misfit witches is all that stands between magic and destruction. Emo necromancers, fairy-tale princess vibes, and god-whispers collide as prophecy calls.
Why we’re intrigued: Queer witches? Sold. This coven already feels iconic, and the setup sounds chaotic in all the right ways.

Emma Frost: The White Queen – Marvel Comics
The story: Before she was a mutant icon, Emma Frost ruled the Hellfire Club. With enemies closing in and a traitor among them, she’ll claw her way to the top… and make you beg to kneel.
Why we’re intrigued: We love Emma. This is the story we’ve been waiting for, and the David Nakayama covers are already legendary. Read more about it here!
Imperial – Marvel Comics
The story: Hulks, Novas, Black Panthers, and cosmic royalty collide in the birth of a new galactic empire. Intrigue, war, and power plays await in Marvel’s next major space epic.
Why we’re intrigued: Jonathan Hickman steering a cosmic Marvel event? Yes. The character designs alone are unreal. Read more about it here!
Jeff the Land Shark – Marvel Comics
The story: He’s adorable. He’s unstoppable. And now, Jeff finally has his own series. With new powers and plenty of friends (and foes), Marvel’s tiniest menace is ready to bite.
Why we’re intrigued: We’ve been waiting years for this. Jeff supremacy is real, and Kelly Thompson + Tokitokoro is the dream team. Read more about it here!

Krypto: The Last Dog of Krypton – DC Comics
The story: Before he was Earth’s super-dog, Krypto was just a happy pup on Krypton. But when a rocket launch goes wrong, he’s sent on a lonely, heartbreaking journey across the stars.
Why we’re intrigued: Krypto origin story? Yes please. It’s giving heartwarming and devastating, and it’s written by Ryan North! We’re in.
News from the Fallout – Image Comics
The story: After a nuclear test turns deadly, a lone soldier flees a contaminated wasteland full of rot and secrets. In a ruined America, survival may be the worst fate of all.
Why we’re intrigued: Creepy sci-fi with horror vibes? This sounds like a slow-burn nightmare and we’re all about it.
The Oddly Pedestrian Life of Christopher Chaos: Children of the Night – Dark Horse Comics
The story: A new school year, a new monster in town, and a new mystery for Christopher Chaos to solve (with or without his mentor). It’s Monster Club vs. the unknown once again!
Why we’re intrigued: One of our favorite series returns! If you read our full series review, you know we’re obsessed. Bring on the weirdness. Read more about it here!

Spider-Girl – Marvel Comics
The story: Bullseye betrayed her. Now she’s on her own, trying to be a hero, but a classic Spider-villain has other plans. Time to see what Spider-Girl is really made of.
Why we’re intrigued: With Spider-Boy wrapping, it’s her time to shine. The David Nakayama covers are killer and we’ve got high hopes for her journey. Read more about it here!
Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion – Marvel Comics
The story: Miles Morales enters a dangerous new world when his sister Billie opens a portal to the Ultimate Universe. Old villains, new allies, and one very unstable multiverse await.
Why we’re intrigued: We’re loving the Ultimate Universe, and this sounds like the next big chapter. Miles + multiverse = yes.
VR Troopers – BOOM! Studios
The story: Spinning out of Power Rangers Prime, the legendary VR Troopers return! But when VR Ryan tracks a rogue threat, he discovers truths about VR (and himself) that could change everything.
Why we’re intrigued: Big Power Rangers fans, we’re beyond hyped to see the VR Troopers get their own series. Let’s go!
Let us know which debut you’re grabbing first, or if there’s one we missed that should be on our radar. June’s going to be another wild ride!
