We’re always showing up for Spider-Man, and this upcoming one-shot might just be one of the wildest ideas yet. Spider-Man vs. The Sinister Sixteen lands this July, and the title alone has us grinning!

Spider-Man vs. the Sinister Sixteen #1
Publisher: Marvel Comics
Writer: J. Michael Straczynski
Artist: Phil Noto
Main Cover: Terry Dodson, Rachel Dodson
Release date: July 30, 2025
Written by J. Michael Straczynski, who has been writing a lot of amazing Spidey stories for many years, with art by the great Phil Noto (we’re big fans of his Quiet Council variant covers!), we know this is going to be goooood!
The setup? A villain with a failing restaurant wants the insurance money, so they invite a pile of heroes and villains to dinner, just hoping a fight breaks out and levels the place. It’s the kind of absurd, over-the-top premise we live for… especially when it means Spider-Man ends up in a room with Thor, Doctor Strange, and a whole bunch of his worst enemies. There’s no way this ends quietly.
The main cover by Terry and Rachel Dodson already promises absolute mayhem (in a good way), especially if Peter Parker can’t even finish his meal before having his spider-sense tingling… We just know this is going to be packed with Spidey one-liners, incredible action, and big laughs. If you love the kind of stories that throw everything into the blender and hit chaos mode, this is one to watch.
Spider-Man vs. The Sinister Sixteen drops July 30, and we can’t wait to see how Peter survives this dinner party from hell.
