From cosmic clashes to supernatural mysteries and everything in between, we’ve got plenty to look forward to this month. Here are the debut series that we just can’t wait to get our hands on!

Absolute Green Lantern – DC Comics
The story: The Absolute Universe is expanding with Jo Mullein, Hal Jordan, John Stewart, and Guy Gardner facing an unprecedented crisis. After a massive Green Lantern falls from the sky and crushes a town, paranoia spreads across the cosmos.
Why we’re intrigued: The Absolute titles have been great so far, and we’re ready for more.

The Amazing Spider-Man – Marvel Comics
The story: Peter Parker is jobless and struggling when Rhino starts rampaging through the city. But Rhino isn’t acting alone and someone dangerous is weaponizing Spider-villains.
Why we’re intrigued: A fresh start for Spider-Man with a classic feel. We’re here for it.

Arcana Royale – Dark Horse Comics
The story: Hudson Tremaine, a Vegas gambler, enters the Arcanos Mysterinos: a secret tournament where demons, demigods, and magicians bet the fate of worlds using tarot-like cards.
Why we’re intrigued: Supernatural thrillers are our thing and Cullen Bunn always delivers.

Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe One Last Time – Marvel Comics
The story: Deadpool’s multiversal killing spree continues as he targets the worst of the worst. 
Why we’re intrigued: We love Deadpool’s over-the-top madness and this one looks like a blast.

Don’t Run with Scissors – Keenspot
The story: In 1982, Sheriff Depero’s quiet patrol becomes a nightmare when a blood-soaked woman runs toward him, screaming for help. More strange and violent events are on the way.
Why we’re intrigued: A creepy horror story set in the 80s? Count us in.

Fire & Ice: When Hell Freezes Over – DC Comics
The story: Fire and Ice’s powers have swapped, turning them into small-town menaces. Desperate for answers, Fire digs into Zatanna’s magical artifacts… during karaoke night.
Why we’re intrigued: The humor and heart of the previous series were so much fun and we’re excited for more chaos.

Golden Rage: Mother Knows Best – Image Comics
The story: Old and infertile women are left on an island to survive and fight. This new miniseries continues the bloody adventure we couldn’t get enough of in the first series.
Why we’re intrigued: The concept and storytelling hooked us from the start and we can’t wait for more.

I Was A Fashion School Serial Killer – Image Comics
The story: Rennie Bethary’s dream is to become a famous fashion designer. Her secret? Her edgy, groundbreaking designs are made of human flesh.
Why we’re intrigued: Doug Wagner and Daniel Hillyard are a killer team and we’re hyped for this twisted story. So hyped that we even made an article about it when the series was announced.

Plague House – Oni Press
The story: A team of ghost hunters investigates the McCabe house, where a man brutally killed his family. What they find is something far worse than restless spirits.
Why we’re intrigued: This sounds like a different kind of horror tale and we’re ready to be scared.

The Slasher’s Apprentice – Mad Cave Studios
The story: Riley, a horror-obsessed podcaster, decides to help her favorite slasher villain, The Hopton Valley Killer, reclaim their lost notoriety while learning the ropes herself.
Why we’re intrigued: We love serial killer stories and this one sounds wickedly fun.

Superior Avengers – Marvel Comics
The story: Doctor Doom rules the world and tasks Kristoff Vernard with assembling a new Avengers team to enforce his rule. Expect unexpected heroes and unlikely alliances.
Why we’re intrigued: More “One World Under Doom” stories? Yes, please.

Vatican City – Dark Horse Comics
The story: A vampire apocalypse has wiped out the world, except for 2,000 tourists trapped inside Vatican City. The monsters are gathering outside and time is running out.
Why we’re intrigued: Mark Millar writing a vampire apocalypse? This was made for us!
